Career

1. INDUSTRY AND MARKET STUDIES AND BEHAVIORAL STUDIES
In order to succeed in a circular transition, new business and customer relationships across the traditional industries must be established. Both opportunities and difficulties for different industries with new roles and relationships will be presented. Knowledge about the importance of behavior both at the individual and organizational level as well as the importance of norms for change will be presented and discussed.

2. CIRCULAR SYSTEM THEORY CONNECTED TO PRACTICAL EXAMPLES FROM DIFFERENT INDUSTRIES
Basic theories and social structures important for the circular transition are described. Theoretical knowledge and facts about circular economy and important societal structures are presented. Important legislation and policy at both national and international level for the circular economy are presented. The theoretical parts are concretized with practical examples.

3. CIRCULAR BUSINESS MODELS AND WORKING METHODS LINKED TO PRACTICAL EXAMPLES
Different ways of working to reach businesses that are circular will be relevant depending on the business, offer and function. Basic theory of different working methods such as circular business models, industrial symbiosis, adaptive design and recycling will be presented. Knowledge of models and working methods to increase the value of a material both over time and in different application applications will be applied.

4. PROJECT WORK – CIRCULAR ECONOMICS IN PRACTICE
The purpose of the course is to provide the student with knowledge of and practical experience of circular working methods in the professional field. The purpose is also to develop the student’s ability to present the possibility of circular economy for their own organization. During the first month of the course, a small amount of work is carried out with the aim of educating others in the workplace in order to create a good basis for implementing new ways of working.
